Arapahoe Santa Claus Shop (ASCS)

The Arapahoe Santa Claus Shop (ASCS) was able to complete our 56th season of providing toys to children. Our primary areas of influence are the Littleton, Sheridan & Englewood school districts; but due to collaborative efforts with other charities, toys are received by children outside of our immediate area.

During the 2015 The Arapahoe Santa Claus Shop season
approximately 9,600 cubic feet of toys
were provided to at least 1,300 children
over 3-days this December.

2015 was our 1st year under a new process. ASCS lost our 24-year gathering, sorting and distribution-location at the former Colorado State University Extension-Arapahoe County building when it was sold. Our learning curve was extensive, but through the support and patience of the community we were able to prevail.

An additional thank you to all the referral agencies and parents; THANK YOU for your patience and cooperation during this period of change.

The following “special” thank-you could not have happened without the help of many long time and new support from the entire community. Without diminishing the appreciation of the un-named support and effort; we specifically would like to thank the following three community members.

Littleton Church of Christ
6495 S. Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121
Kent & Anne-Marie Rogers and Jan Griffin

The church modified their schedules to allow the Arapahoe Santa Claus Shop a time & location to distribute our toys. This was a keystone to our success. The staff & membership were incredible in their support of our mission; Thank You ALL!

Aspen Grove Mall
7301 S. Santa Fe, Littleton, CO  80120
Margie Munoz, General Manager-CSM

ASCS would not have toys to distribute without a means to collect and sort toys for at least a month. The City of Littleton broadcast an email to all businesses, letting them know of our plight. The best solution for ASCS came from Margie Munoz, General Manager of Aspen Grove Mall. Allowing us rent-free access to a space that had access, heat, lights and adequate parking was another key component of our shop success. Margie and her staff were so patient and accommodating to our questions and requests; Thank You ALL!

Extra Space Storage
6800 S. Holly Circle, Centennial, CO  80112
Dani Drake, Store Manager

Dani and her staff at Extra Space Storage, has been associated with the ASCS for a while. When we needed a space to stage and store the 9,600 cubic feet of toys we had gathered, Dani responded without hesitation and gave us an easy-access unit.
